About the role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of advanced clinical practice education within a supportive and innovative environment. You will lead MSc ACP programmes, influence curriculum development, and work with state-of-the-art clinical simulation facilities. The position provides scope for leadership, collaboration with clinical and academic partners, and ongoing professional development, including CPD and research opportunities.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Leadership in Programme Delivery and Curriculum review and development. Provide leadership in the design, planning, delivery, and quality assurance of MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programmes (direct entry and apprenticeship), ensuring high teaching standards and innovative learning approaches. Student Support and Mentorship. Oversee student welfare, progression, assessment, and personal development; act as a personal tutor and postgraduate supervisor, and support workplace-based learning and assessment. Team Leadership and Collaboration. Contribute to internal and external teaching teams, fostering effective collaboration to maximise impact. Ensure all contributors are well-prepared and aligned with programme objectives, while maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and professional practice.

About you
You will be an experienced and enthusiastic professional with a strong background in advanced clinical practice or Higher Education, with a relevant honours degree and be registered with a professional regulatory body, with a commitment to gaining an NHS England Faculty of Advancing Practice Digital Badge.
Experience in postgraduate teaching in academic and/or clinical environments, is essential, alongside proven ability to lead teams and mentor learners.
You will be able to demonstrate innovative approaches to teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and foster intellectual debate. Research experience, including securing external funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals, is desirable for this part time-fixed term post.
The role involves contributing to programme delivery, student support, and external engagement, curriculum review and enhancing the student experience. Flexibility, teamwork, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continuous development are key personal attributes.
It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Adult disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
