This role is ideal for a college student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field who is looking to gain real-world experience in nonprofit HR operations. The assistant will contribute to recruitment efforts, employee recordkeeping, training logistics, and staff engagement projects.</p> <p> </p> <p>Work Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Flexible schedule including occasional evening or weekend hours.</li> <li>Travel to Club and outreach sites required.</li> <li>Must pass a background check and meet Club compliance standards.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Location: 3691 Willowcreek Road, Portage, Indiana 46368</p> <p>Hourly Wage: $12</p> <p>Start Date: Fall 2026</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><p>HR Administrative Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist with maintaining employee personnel files and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.</li> <li>Support onboarding efforts by preparing new hire packets and assisting with orientation materials.</li> <li>Help post job openings on job boards, websites, and internal platforms.</li> <li>Assist with scheduling interviews, sending candidate communications, and tracking application statuses.</li> </ul> <p>Training & Development Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the coordination of staff training sessions, including scheduling, materials preparation, and attendance tracking.</li> <li>Maintain training records and update staff compliance logs.</li> <li>Help organize staff development resources such as training guides, certificates, and e-learning modules.</li> </ul> <p>Data Entry & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Assist in generating reports related to recruitment, training completion, and employee demographics.</li> <li>Track required certifications and compliance training for staff across all Club locations.</li> </ul> <p>Special Projects & Staff Engagement</p> <ul> <li>Assist with staff recognition initiatives and HR communications (e.g., birthdays, work anniversaries, newsletters).</li> <li>Support the planning and execution of employee appreciation events or wellness initiatives.</li> <li>Participate in research tasks related to HR best practices or training trends.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>An approved participant in the federal work-study program at our partnership schools</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook).</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.</li> <li>A positive attitude and willingness to learn.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Education</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>PNW work-study eligible student</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>FLSA Status</b></H2> </div><div>Non-Exempt</div></div></div>
