This role is a strategic role responsible for defining, governing and evolving the enterprise data architecture across International SOS&apos;s platforms and products. You will shape modern data platforms, models and standards that enable analytics, operational excellence and AI readiness across the organisation. </p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone with extensive experience as a Data Architect/Cloud - ML and AI solutions to join a high performing team.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Key responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Enforce data architectural guidelines and consistency across development teams and services.</li> <li>Support established Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks, including tooling, policy enforcement and stewardship models</li> <li>Ensure robust metadata management, lineage tracking and data cataloguing using business glossaries and modern catalog tools</li> <li>Review and approve data architecture for major features, platforms and technical initiatives</li> <li>Collaborate with technical leads and DevOps on system scalability, performance and reliability</li> <li>Develop and maintain enterprise‑wide data architecture roadmap translating strategic data ambitions into actionable deliverables</li> <li>Drive the adoption of data architecture principles and standards across engineering and product teams through review boards and governance forums</li> <li>Conduct architecture assessments and identify opportunities to rationalise, consolidate, or modernise the data estate</li> <li>Coach and mentor engineers and data practitioners on data design, modelling best practices and architectural trade-offs</li> <li>Produce and maintain high-quality architecture documentation including data architecture decisions records (ADRs), data flow diagrams and domain maps</li> <li>Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to enable effective model deployment, feature engineering, and ML data readiness</li> <li>Promote a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making across the organisation</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>About you</b></H2> </div><div><p>Solid experience in data architecture, data engineering or a closely related role<br>Proven technical expertise in data modelling methodologies (Kimball/Lnmon), Data Vault 2.0<br>Experience of designing enterprise-grade cloud platforms (AWS preferred) (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena) Databricks and snowflake are an advantage<br>Expertise in data warehousing and lakehouse technologies (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg)<br>Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, CDC, event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka/Kinesis) and API‑based integrations.<br>Experience operating enterprise data governance programmes, including data stewardship, policy frameworks and data quality management<br>Knowledge of MDM principles and familiarity with GDPR / CCPA<br>Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Power BI or Amazon QuickSight and exposure to Gen AI Platforms<br>Experience or enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF<br>Able to communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and influence diverse technical and non‑technical stakeholders.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Benefits</b></H2> </div><div><div>-Competitive Starting Salary</div> <div>-Opportunities for development and career progression</div> <div>-A day’s leave for your birthday with the option to purchase additional annual leave</div> <div>-Private healthcare, dental cover, pension scheme, life insurance, paid volunteering day</div> <div>-Subsidised staff cafeteria and free tea, coffee and fruit</div> <div>-Discount schemes (Cycle2work, season ticket loans, gym discounts)</div> <div>-Access to Employee Assistance &amp; Employee Support Programme</div> <div>-Access to Chiswick Business Park Enjoy Work events</div> <div> </div> <div>#LI-Europe</div></div></div></div>
