This role oversees 24/7 milling operations, partners cross‑functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Customer Care, and Product Management, and drives operational optimization through data, preventive/predictive maintenance, and process improvements—while ensuring compliance with MSHA and environmental requirements.</div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Principal Duties &amp; Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><div> <ul> <li>Lead and manage milling and packaging operations to ensure safe, efficient production of bulk and packaged products.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements, including MSHA inspections, workplace exams, daily compliance inspections, and discharge monitoring.</li> <li>Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to align production demands with downtime windows for preventive maintenance and project work.</li> <li>Partner with Customer Care and Product Management to provide accurate production forecasts, timely responses to customer needs, and consistent supply.</li> <li>Optimize milling performance by analyzing downtime drivers, de‑bottlenecking equipment, and recommending process and capability improvements.</li> <li>Ensure sampling is executed to process control plans and quality standards; support trial-to-full scale transitions with Technology/Engineering as needed.</li> <li>Maintain visual management and improve reporting methods to enable better data capture and decision‑making.</li> <li>Champion housekeeping and plant organization through daily inspections, cleaning schedules, and coordination with Maintenance. </li> <li>Support operating plans and budgets by developing and executing short‑ and long‑range objectives.</li> <li>Provide leadership coverage as backup for key site leaders as needed (e.g., Quality, Maintenance, Mine, Plant Manager).</li> </ul> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/processing field or equivalent experience.</li> <li>5+ years in a production environment with supervisory experience.</li> <li>Working knowledge of limestone processing equipment and systems (mills, classifiers, screening, baggers, conveying/pneumatics, PLCs).</li> <li>Strong planning, prioritization, and problem‑solving skills; ability to lead teams and drive safe execution.</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>MSHA training required per Part 48 plan (prior training accepted with documentation).</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Key Competencies</H2> </div><div><div>Summary</div><div>Inspire and Influence Others - Management</div><div>Make Quality Decisions - Management</div><div>Manage Conflict - Management</div><div>Solve Problems - Management</div></div></div></div><p>Our employees are our strongest asset, and their safety, health, and well-being is our highest priority.
