<p><strong>Organization & Role</strong></p> <p>Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, driven Field Application Engineer who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li style="line-height:normal;background-color:white;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Location: Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, South Korea (LG Innotek)</li> </ul> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.25pt;line-height:normal;background-color:white;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif"> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develop test processes including test strategy, interface design, ATE, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, training, and process control capabilities.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Integrate new processes into production. Serve as a technical resource for factory operations.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results. Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends to influence testing directions.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Data collection, analysis, SW debug to find out root cause at customer site with excellent performance.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develops and maintains a high degree of customer satisfaction and credibility by providing innovative, timely solutions to system problems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Weekly or even daily analysis reports to the field services team and Teradyne engineering team.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Moderate travel is required, both within Asia and to the US to work with the larger engineering team and other customer service teams.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications & Skills</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics is preferred.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Familiar with embedded system FPGA/Microcontroller architecture</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Familiar with SPI/I2C/SMBUS/UART inter-communication</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Familiar with network knowledge, DHCP, TFTP service and TCP/IP communication. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Understand basic electronics circuits and debug capability.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Familiar on both Windows and Linux basic command.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good skills in statistical software tools for complex data analysis and report.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of .NET framework, C/C++/C# programming with Visual Studio.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Application or Test Development engineer in semiconductor/HDD/automation test process industry is advantage.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of developing test software on LabVIEW or MATLAB is advantage</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Fluency in English required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good attitude and enthusiastic to work.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> #LI-JP2</p>
