Purpose of the Role: Equipment Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repair and operational upkeep tasks on solar panel manufacturing equipment within a designated area. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues. The Equipment Maintenance Associate works under minimal supervision, often collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all systems and equipment. Key responsibilities: <ul style="text-align:justify" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Conduct routine maintenance and daily inspections of operations equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdown. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Respond promptly to equipment repair requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and severity. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore functionality.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Document maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and any additional recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Operate hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, safely and proficiently.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to property during maintenance operations. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Collaborate with other equipment team members, including supervisor and technicians to coordinate maintenance efforts and achieve departmental goals.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul style="text-align:justify" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Minimum 2 years of experience as an Equipment Technician.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">At least 1 year of experience servicing industrial or production equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Understanding of equipment troubleshooting process and related steps.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Familiarity with electrical components and troubleshooting, including use of multimeters.</li> </ul> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <ul style="text-align:justify" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Proven experience in maintenance , repair or facilities, management, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Familiarity with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance techniques.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines accurately.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and communicate maintenance updates or issues, including working across language barriers.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, equipment, or maintenance procedures as required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, lift objects and work in various environmental conditions.</li> </ul> Work Environment: The role involves physical labor, exposure to varying temperatures, and handling potentially hazardous materials. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used at all times. May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays.
