Purpose of the Role: An industrial electrician installs, maintains and repairs industrial electrical and mechanical equipment. This equipment may include fixtures, wiring, pumps, heavy-duty machinery and electrical systems. These professionals most commonly work in commercial or industrial buildings but can also work in other settings. Industrial electricians frequently work in the maintenance and construction industries. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used at all times. May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays.
