Our engineers travel extensively throughout North America, primarily on the East Coast of the U.S., to various manufacturing facilities. Engineers work on assigned projects in support of the engineering portfolios of all divisions. Corning, NY is the home base, although some projects will be completed locally. Frequently, our engineers work within manufacturing facilities on process engineering, equipment design and installation, measurement systems, and software applications for manufacturing. In this role, you will serve as an electrical controls resource for manufacturing process improvement and capital expansion projects. You will manage the electrical and controls scope of assigned projects. Project focus will be the implementation of PLC-based automation in Corning's manufacturing plants and processes. This role combines traditional PLC programming expertise with modern AI technologies to improve development speed, code quality, troubleshooting, and documentation. The range for this position is $71,067.00 - $97,718.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
