Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. For our Tech-Center in Berlin-Adlershof, Germany, we are looking for an Optical Measurement Systems Engineer (m/f/d) Professional development opportunities and a chance to contribute to cutting-edge optical interconnect technologies for advanced data center fiber‑optic applications. Scope of Position: The Optical Measurement System Engineer is a hands-on engineering role within the Optical Components and Integration team, focused on the development, implementation, and optimization of optical measurement setups and associated processes for characterization of optical components and prototype assemblies. The role combines optical design, experimental work, and data-driven analysis, with strong emphasis on lab-based development, ensuring reliable, accurate, and scalable measurement solutions to support R&D and early-stage manufacturing activities.
