Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.<div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"> <div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"> Scope of Position: In this position you will provide the leadership to plan, scope, coordinate and control complex projects involving multiple disciplines for optical fiber manufacturing processes in the Wilmington plant, improving our ability to understand and control these processes services and thereby meeting our manufacturing objectives. You will act as the principal lead on one or more projects and provide facilities technical leadership on other plant projects. You will provide facilities technical leadership for plant systems including pollution abatement, raw material delivery, facilities and structural systems. You will manage the plant capital portfolio and provide coaching/guidance for plant appropriations requests to ensure capital guidelines are met. Day to Day Responsibilities: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Principal lead on one or more projects <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li on problems involving delivery and integration of process services for the Wilmington plant, including pollution abatement, raw material delivery, facilities and structural systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Collaborate with division and corporate facilities teams to benchmark and share best practices related to facilities systems, raw material delivery, pollution abatement and sustainability improvements</li> </ul> Education/Experience: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><a name="_Hlk190257483"></a>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and <a name="_Hlk190257466"></a>7+ years of experience (preferably facilities experience) or Bachelor’s degree in any field and 15+ years of engineering experience.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Experience working with and managing system process and controls for facilities and environmental systems.</li> </ul> Required Skills: <ul> <li The range for this position is $93,470.00 - $128,522.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
