Set-ups are exacting and at times are difficult and unusual requiring careful handling and positioning. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Perform skilled bench work involving grinding, turning, milling, filing, scraping, lapping, fitting, timing, indexing, assembly, and adjusting to secure proper operation. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Manufacture intermediate level or detailed parts from prints. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Maintain an expert level of setup of all operation groups on a specific set of machine(s)or expertise and depth of knowledge on a specific complex process applicable to your functional area. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Work from part drawings, process sequence sheets and setup charts. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Select proper tooling, mount, dress and/or true grinding wheels where appropriate. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Perform CNC functions, controls, and language to program and/or write programs at a skilled level. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Must be able to set-up and determine methods of holding the work in order to obtain and maintain very tight tolerances. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Run CAD type and related programs. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Cycle machine to produce test pieces, check parts and make machine adjustments as necessary on manual and CNC machines. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Inspect components to ensure proper adherence to quality specifications. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Gage components using applicable gaging techniques and procedures, check gages for proper calibration using gage masters and adjust as necessary. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Visually sample pieces for finish and surface quality. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Instruct and lend technical assistance to and maintain a reasonable responsibility for work of each assigned operator if applicable. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Occasionally make up temporary tooling or alter existing tooling to cover job requirements. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Perform basic welding, soldering skills. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Schedule work to due dates while maintaining an operational effective efficiency. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Maintain and comply with preventive maintenance schedule, impose and comply with safety and hazardous material handling procedures. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Report all operating difficulties including but not limited to defective materials, or operating difficulties to the appropriate supervisor; maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Maintain and comply with process documentation if required. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Work with Engineering and others on the layout and application of new or altered items and make recommendations where possible to improvement or modifications. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> This individual may generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job.
