To ensure compliance of appropriate rules and regulations by truck drivers delivering logs to LP facilities. </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><p style="margin-bottom:11.0px">Under the guidance of the Scaler, assist Scale House Team to:</p> <ul> <li> Ensure accurate weighing of log trucks as they arrive and as they leave.</li> <li> Ensure compliance with appropriate rules and regulations, ensuring drivers have appropriate licenses and certificates.</li> <li>Inspect incoming logs to ensure compliance with the government and LP log quality standards; coordinate with Forest Resources when standards are not met.</li> <li>Use and run the scaling software</li> <li>Participate in the log yard inventory</li> <li>Coordinate work with off-loaders and truck drivers to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.</li> <li>Prepare daily and weekly reports.</li> <li>Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.</li> <li>Perform other duties as necessary.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><p style="margin-bottom:11.0px"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</span></strong></p> <div> <ul> <li><span>Knowledge of the LP green end log requirements. </span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of the LP environmental management system, forest management and wood fiber utilization. </span></li> <li><span> </span><span>Knowledge of government regulations, logging utilization standards, log scaling regulations and grading rules. </span></li> <li><span>Strong math skills. </span><span> </span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations. </span><span> </span></li> <li><span>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </span><span> </span></li> <li><span>Ability to operate a computer and supporting software. </span><span> </span></li> </ul> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Education and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>High school diploma required.</li> <li>Possession of appropriate Weighmaster licence/certificate required.</li> <li>Current, valid driver's license.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in weigh scaling.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Work Environment</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="margin-bottom:11.0px">Plant or outdoor environment.</li> </ul></div></div></div>
