<p><strong>Reports To: </strong> </p> <p>Functionally Reports To: Operation Engineering Manager</p> <p>Operationally Reports To: Fabrication Operations Engineer</p> <p><strong>Company</strong> : Qatar Fabrication Company</p> <p><strong>Location</strong> : Ras Laffan / Qatar</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:#e62828"><strong>**PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO QATARI CANDIDATES**</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities –</strong> <strong>Discipline Specific</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Developing Project Fabrication Procedures.</li> <li>Initiates material procurement for fabrication aids.</li> <li>Initiate RFQ for work to be subcontracted.</li> <li>Review drawings for constructability.</li> <li>Initiate assembly checklist for all major construction milestones.</li> <li>Leads WCR review and confirmation of WT before lifts, loadout, weighing.</li> <li>Manages all coordination for loadout preparation and weighing.</li> <li>Carries out coordination with Marine and Fab Team for installation aids, sea fastening and offshore lift rigging.</li> <li>Carries out coordination with CSE Department and Marine Warranty Surveyor.</li> <li>Publishes CSE deliverable list with required dates. Chairs CSE coordination meeting.</li> <li>Provide yard layout input with regards to layout, stack, and loadout dates.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities – General </strong></p> <ul> <li>Understands the full contractual scope of work, contract type and milestone schedules.</li> <li>Participates in development of project fabrication execution plan to meet contract requirements most productively.</li> <li>Develops a work pack index and sets priorities and ROS dates for deliverables.</li> <li>Prepare project specific task listing.</li> <li>At commencement of the project participate in fabrication kick-off meeting.</li> <li>Forecast fabrication requirements (deliverable inputs) to meet the project contract schedule.</li> <li>Coordinates with MTO, warehouse, drafting teams to issue work packs.</li> <li>Review and understand manhour estimate. Ensure estimates are correct. Provide feedback to the estimation department where required.</li> <li>Issues work packs and follows up all activities for work pack execution.</li> <li>Carries out progress reporting on the project.</li> <li>Reviews weekly fabrication progress reports for progress and productivity. Acts on anomalies.</li> <li>Responsible for documenting all scopes of work changes (change orders) and coordinating AFC estimate updates.</li> <li>Reviews input deliverable forecast dates (material & drawings) and advises impact to fabrication schedule.</li> <li>Appraises Senior Production Engineer or Fabrication Operations Engineer of any project issues which affect the forecasted progress, productivity, and schedule commitments.</li> <li>Prepare technical queries/correspondence to be issued to the client.</li> <li>Provides field guidance to meet project specifications, schedule, and targets.</li> <li>Participates and provides feedback on regular sites and look ahead meetings.</li> <li>Coordinates with subcontractors for completion of work.</li> <li>Raises variance orders to capture extra works not part of AFC estimates.</li> <li>Identify items requiring support from the construction engineering team. Coordinates and follows up to get required input.</li> <li>Prepares project fabrication lessons learnt.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Other Expectations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participates in QHSES initiatives and drives achieving objectives.</li> <li>Follow the company policies</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications, Experience and Skills</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Structural Engineering or equivalent</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Experience: </strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>4+ years in Offshore and Petrochemical Industry or equivalent.</li> <li>Preferably worked as an Engineer in executing Construction projects.</li> </ul>
