The Role As a Critical Care Nurse within a Hyperbaric environment at St Richard's Hospital, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team ensuring patients receive safe and high-quality care in accordance with NHS and QinetiQ guidelines. Day-to-day, you’ll deliver patient-centred nursing care, undertake clinical assessments, and provide support during hyperbaric oxygen therapy, while contributing to ongoing training, governance and clinical excellence within the team. Your responsibilities will include: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Delivering nursing care, assessment, planning and evaluation for military and NHS patients</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Monitoring patients’ condition and maintaining accurate clinical records</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Participating in audits, clinical governance and continuous professional development</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Supporting training and induction for staff and students</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Maintaining personal competency and fitness to work within the hyperbaric chamber</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Participating in on-call duties, which may include UK and overseas travel</li> </ul> Essential experience required: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Registered Nurse with recent intensive care or critical care experience</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Knowledge of NHS clinical governance and best practice</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Effective communicator with strong documentation and record-keeping skills</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to remain calm and adaptable in high-pressure clinical situations</li> </ul> Essential qualifications for the Hyperbaric Nurse: <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0px;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Full NMC registration</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0px;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Nursing Degree or Diploma</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 0.0px;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Postgraduate qualification in Intensive Care Nursing/Critical Care Nursing</li> </ul> We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
