sans-serif">Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develops and establishes systems and processes that ensure compliance with government customs and trade regulations.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develops import/export policy and guidelines.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Conducts education programs and due diligence to ensure compliance for country employees.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Evaluates product specifications based on import /export regulations, classifies items and identifies any special instruction or requirements to employees and customers.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensures current and thorough knowledge of relevant regulations, laws and upcoming changes.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Oversees broker relationship as executed by junior staff, including performance, billings, and systems interface.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Responsible for process development, reengineering, implementation and training relating to operational improvements or legislation changes related to area of responsibility.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Acts as a liaison with government bodies including customs, revenue, and trade offices.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develops and implements regional logistics solutions including multiple sites and third party providers.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develops and implements logistics services to support each element of a business areas supply chain model.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assesses feasibility of programs with implementation requirements, establishes roll out plan, and initiates program execution.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Interfaces with various levels of Celestica management to ensure processes are in place and working such that we maintain compliance with Logistics style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Knowledge/Skills/Competencies</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good knowledge of electronics manufacturing environment, materials and processes.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Expert understanding and interpretation of traffic and customs rules and regulations.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and multiple business applications.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Commercial and financial awareness, particularly of transportation and logistics costs and regulations.</span></li> <li
