At Ingenico, trust and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. </span></p><p>We are looking for a <strong>Design Ops Manager</strong> to take ownership of the design system for our strategic cloud solutions, including payment applications and device management platforms.</p> <p>This role is highly focused on <strong>design system strategy, governance, quality, and execution</strong>, working at the intersection of <strong>design, front-end engineering, and product</strong>.</p> <p>The initial focus is on building and managing the <strong>full lifecycle of design systems</strong>. Over time, the scope will expand to broader <strong>Design Operations topics</strong>, including tooling, workflows, and team enablement.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Design System Ownership & Governance</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own the cloud design system end-to-end, ensuring high standards of usability, accessibility, scalability, and consistency</li> <li>Define and safeguard design system rules, quality standards, and contribution models</li> <li>Ensure the system is up-to-date, well-documented, and aligned with product and engineering needs</li> <li>Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and technical/design debt, and drive continuous improvement</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Component Management & Design Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Manage, review, and evolve the full library of design system components</li> <li>Collaborate closely with designers to translate product needs into components, patterns, and guidelines</li> <li>Create, refine, and maintain reusable components with clarity and scalability in mind</li> <li>Act as the central point of contact for design system questions and decisions</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Engineering Collaboration & Implementation Quality</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Partner closely with front-end teams maintaining the coded design system</li> <li>Ensure design-to-code consistency and high-quality implementation</li> <li>Review usage patterns and ensure correct adoption across products</li> <li>Align designers and developers on standards, constraints, and best practices</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Standards, Accessibility & Quality</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Champion UI quality, accessibility, and consistency across all cloud products</li> <li>Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles</li> <li>Monitor and continuously improve UI quality enabled by the design system</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Vision, Proactivity & Continuous Improvement</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own the vision and roadmap for the design system aligned with product and technical strategy</li> <li>Identify and propose improvements in tools, workflows, and processes (including AI-assisted solutions where relevant)</li> <li>Continuously optimize how the design system is created, managed, and adopted</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Design Operations (Future Scope)</strong></h3> <p>Gradually expand responsibilities to include:</p> <ul> <li>Design tooling and setup</li> <li>Workflow optimization</li> <li>Cross-team alignment and enablement</li> <li>Improving design team effectiveness and scalability</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Requirements</strong></h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, design systems, or design operations</li> <li>Proven experience owning or scaling a design system across multiple teams or products</li> <li>Strong knowledge of UI design, interaction design, accessibility, and responsive systems</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in <strong>Figma</strong> and production-level design systems (e.g., Maestro or similar)</li> <li>Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, SASS); experience with React teams is a strong plus</li> <li>Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design leadership</li> <li>Proactive mindset combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution</li> <li>Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional, and remote-friendly environment</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What We Offer</strong></h2> <ul> <li>25 days of paid annual leave</li> <li>Additional health insurance</li> <li>Annual performance bonus</li> <li>Monthly flexible benefits budget (Re:Benefit)</li> <li>Birthday benefit: 1 extra day off + 200 BGN bonus</li> <li>Volunteer Time Off</li> <li>Referral bonus program</li> <li>Parental support benefit</li> <li>Work-from-home opportunities after probation</li> <li>LinkedIn Learning access</li> <li>Corporate discounts</li> <li>Modern office close to metro</li> <li>Fresh fruits and snacks in the office</li> </ul><p><span style=""><span style="">As part of our values, we embrace diversity and inclusion at Ingenico.
