The role holder will be responsible for assisting the group in its compliance with information governance and data protection best practice and associated laws and regulations.</span><br><br><span style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">This role involves supporting the development and delivery of data protection awareness initiatives and training, as well as managing the day-to-day handling of enquiries and transactional requests for the DPO team. When required, the coordinator will also provide advice and support to business areas on breach-related incident management, while also assisting in the analysis of data and the preparation of clear, informative briefings on data protection and information governance controls for stakeholders.</span><br><br><br><span style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><strong><span style="font-size:12.0pt">What Will Make You Successful</span><br><br></strong>The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, including data protection, GDPR, confidentiality, and cyber security, together with knowledge of privacy by design principles, including records of processing and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). They will have a working knowledge of industry or regulatory frameworks and control standards, and an ability to assess levels of risk and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.</span><br><br><span style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and an ability to confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of data protection legislation.
