Core Basis Operations</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Manage and administer <span>SAP S/4HANA Basis components</span>, including: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>system monitoring</li> <li>performance tuning</li> <li>job scheduling</li> <li>output management</li> <li>troubleshooting</li> </ul> </li> <li>Work within the <span>RISE with SAP operating model</span>.</li> <li>Monitor and support system performance and availability, proactively identifying and addressing issues to ensure a stable and reliable SAP environment in alignment with RISE with SAP service standards.</li> <li>Ensure SAP system configurations and operations adhere to: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>internal security policies</li> <li>compliance requirements</li> <li>audit standards</li> </ul> </li> <li>Support a secure and controlled SAP environment.</li> </ul> <h3>2. Lifecycle Management</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Support the planning and execution of: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>system upgrades</li> <li>refreshes</li> <li>patches</li> <li>migration activities</li> <li>system copies</li> </ul> </li> <li>Adhere to best practices and minimize downtime during lifecycle activities.</li> </ul> <h3>3. Service Management</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Take ownership of <span>SAP Basis-related incidents and service requests</span>.</li> <li>Actively investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in alignment with <span>ITIL-based service management practices</span>.</li> <li>Ensure timely resolution and adherence to <span>SLA commitments</span>.</li> <li>Support <span>root cause analysis</span> and <span>problem management</span> for recurring or complex technical issues.</li> <li>Contribute to permanent resolution and knowledge documentation.</li> </ul> <h3>4. Improvement & Innovation</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Support the continuous improvement of <span>system maintenance and management concepts</span> for SAP S/4HANA.</li> <li>Support the definition and implementation of <span>system archiving processes</span> to optimize performance and storage utilization, including <span>OpenText Archiving & Document Management</span>.</li> </ul> <h3>5. Collaboration & Enablement</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Collaborate closely with the <span>CORE SAP S/4HANA Program</span> and <span>IT Operations teams</span> to ensure system management aligns with project requirements and release and deployment timelines.</li> <li>Collaborate with external IT Operations suppliers and SAP within the <span>RISE with SAP</span> framework.</li> <li>Maintain accurate: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>technical documentation</li> <li>runbooks</li> <li>SOPs</li> </ul> </li> <li>Support knowledge sharing and operational continuity within the team.</li> </ul> <h3>6. Continuous Learning</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Stay current on <span>SAP Basis best practices</span> and <span>SAP’s embedded AI capabilities</span>.</li> <li>Leverage <span>AI-powered tools</span> such as <span>ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot</span>, or similar to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Who You Are</h2> <h3>Education & Experience</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Bachelor’s degree in <span>Computer Science, Information Technology</span>, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.</li> <li><span>5+ years of experience</span> in <span>SAP Basis administration</span> and <span>system management</span>, with a focus on <span>SAP S/4HANA</span>.</li> <li>Relevant certifications and experience in a regulated (<span>GxP</span>) environment are a plus.</li> </ul> <h3>Technical Skills</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Solid knowledge of <span>SAP system architecture</span> and <span>system administration</span>.</li> <li>Experience with tools such as: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li><span>SAP Solution Manager</span></li> <li><span>Cloud ALM</span></li> <li><span>Redwood RunMyJobs</span></li> <li>or similar platforms</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience with <span>DevOps</span> and <span>Agile methodologies</span> is a plus.</li> </ul> <h3>Service & Delivery Mindset</h3>
