You will play a key role in advancing supplier maturity in environmental performance, circularity, and Scope 3 emissions reduction. This role also owns the foundation of sustainability data across the supply chain, including Full Material Disclosure (FMD), BOM-level material mapping, and lifecycle/carbon data readiness. You will work across Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sustainability teams to ensure supplier data is accurate, consistent, and actionable, enabling scalable reporting, compliance, and decarbonization initiatives.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Requirements</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Lead supplier sustainability programs to improve performance, transparency, and alignment with NetApp expectations</li> <li>Collaborate on developing NetApp’s next generation sustainability supplier engagement program to include Tier 1, 2 and 3 direct and indirect suppliers</li> <li>Drive supplier maturity frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives</li> <li>Partner with Sustainability to embed criteria into supplier selection, contracts, and scorecards</li> <li>Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Commodity Managers and Product Compliance teams, as well as external suppliers, to accelerate sustainability initiatives and improve performance.</li> <li>Engage suppliers to support NetApp's Scope 3 reduction and climate target alignment</li> <li>Track and analyze supplier environmental data (greenhouse gas (GHG), water, waste, plastics, biodiversity)</li> <li>Collaborate to build supplier environmental training programs</li> <li>Support supplier environmental target-setting and monitor progress</li> <li>Identify opportunities to reduce lifecycle emissions through supplier and design collaboration</li> <li>Drive collection, consolidation, and maintenance of Full Material Disclosure (FMD) data</li> <li>Perform BOM-level data mapping and standardize data across sources</li> <li>Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency</li> <li>Support LCA and PCF data preparation and validation for downstream analysis</li> <li>Engage suppliers to collect and improve material and sustainability data</li> <li>Improve data quality and responsiveness through proactive engagement</li> <li>Ensure adherence to governance standards, templates, and SOPs</li> <li>Maintain documentation for traceability and audit readiness</li> <li>Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements to scale and reduce manual effort</li> <li>Collaborate across Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Sustainability</li> <li>Support sustainability reporting (including regulatory and strategic reports), dashboards, and customer requests</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Education</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field+</li> <li>3 to 5 years of experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, supply chain, or supplier engagement</li> <li>Experience working on Scope 3, environmental metrics, or sustainability programs</li> <li>Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills</li> <li>Experience working with data, reporting, and sustainability frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, Sustainability reporting)</li> <li>Strong data management skills (Excel, data tools, dashboards)</li> <li>Key personality traits beneficial to have : <ul> <li>Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, able to translate sustainability goals into clear, actionable plans</li> <li>Proactive and improvement-driven mindset, with a passion for driving continuous supplier performance improvements</li> <li>Strategic yet practical thinker, able to connect enterprise goals with supplier-level execution</li> <li>Influential without authority, capable of aligning stakeholders across functions</li> <li>Curious and eager to learn, with strong interest in sustainability, decarbonization, and circularity</li> <li>Resilient and patient, able to sustain progress in long-term initiatives</li> <li>Comfortable working in evolving and ambiguous environments</li> <li>Strong ownership and accountability in driving initiatives independently</li> <li>Build trust and positive working relationships across teams and suppliers</li> </ul> </li> </ul></div></div></div>
