<p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Summary</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="">A <strong>Technical Product Manager</strong> understands customer and business needs and translates them into clear, actionable requirements for <strong>Guidewire PolicyCenter</strong>. The Technical Product Manager owns the PolicyCenter product backlog, defines epics and user stories with strong acceptance criteria, and ensures implementation aligns with the policy lifecycle (submission, issuance, endorsement, renewal, and cancellation).Works with engineers and architects ensuring that requirements are understood, and that implementation plans match expectations. A technical product manager focuses on the technical aspects of product development, working closely with the engineering team to ensure technical feasibility and implementation.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style="">Ensures all stages (ideation, development, launch, post-launch) are well-defined.</span></li> <li><span style="">Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities and market trends.</span></li> <li><span style="">Collaborates with engineering teams to define product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.</span></li> <li><span style="">Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly, either written or orally with customers, develop, management or peers.</span></li> <li><span style="">Conducts user research to understand user needs and translate them into product requirements.</span></li> <li><span style="">Creates clear and compelling product presentations tailored for consumption by technical and non-technical audiences.</span></li> <li><span style="">Collaborates with designers, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development and launch.</span></li> <li><span style="">Works with Product Owners to define product success metrics (KPIs), establish product delivery timelines, and prioritize product backlog items based on their business value and impact.</span></li> <li><span style="">Develops and prioritizes the product backlog based on user needs, business value, and technical feasibility.</span></li> <li><span style="">Creates and maintains product documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and release notes.</span></li> <li><span style="">Measures product performance & reports them out.</span></li> <li><span style="">Stays up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in product management.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style="">Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field. Experience in a technical field can be considered for candidates with a strong understanding of technology concepts.</span></li> <li><span style="">Guidewire experience or certification is a big plus .</span></li> <li><span style="">3+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical products. Required</span></li> <li><span style="">Strong expertise of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DAD, etc.)</span></li> <li><span style="">Working knowledge of user research methodologies (e.g., interviews, usability testing).</span></li> <li><span style="">Proficiency in product analytics tools and data analysis tools.</span></li> <li><span style="">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor presentations for different audiences.</span></li> <li><span style="">Decision Making: Makes independent decisions on product strategy, roadmap development, and feature prioritization based on user research, market analysis, and business needs.
