<p><strong>Your area of work:</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern for a 6-month internship to support the modernization of a critical business application used in our finance technology environment.</p> <p> In a constantly evolving technology landscape, keeping core platforms up to date is essential to ensure performance, maintainability, and long-term resilience. As part of this internship, you will contribute to a major migration project by upgrading our application server from JBoss 7 to JBoss 8, assessing technical impacts, and helping implement the required fixes in a Java-based application.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Support the migration of a critical application from JBoss 7 to JBoss 8.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Analyze technical impacts of the migration.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Identify compatibility issues and implement corrective actions.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Contribute to code updates and refactoring in Java.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Collaborate with senior engineers to validate fixes and ensure application stability.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Help document findings, migration steps, and best practices for future upgrades.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Your profile:</strong> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>You are enrolled in a Bachelor&apos;s or Master&apos;s Degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a recognized institution and can provide an internship agreement, or have graduated with a Bachelor&apos;s degree or similar for no more than 6 months.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Good understanding of Java development, especially object-oriented concepts and inheritance.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Strong analytical skills to assess migration impacts and troubleshoot issues.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Rigorous, autonomous, and detail-oriented way of working.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.</li> <li>Knowledge of JBoss EAP is a strong advantage.</li> <li>French is mandatory; English is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift is a plus.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p>
