Key Responsibilities <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java (Spring Boot) for the backend and Angular for the frontend</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end components</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manage cloud infrastructure and deploy applications using Azure services (App Services, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, Key Vaults, etc.)</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Optimize application performance and ensure secure, scalable deployments in the Azure environment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain code quality and automated testing using CI/CD pipelines</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide operational support and troubleshooting of the production issues</li> </ul> About You You are a hands-on software engineer with a strong track record of delivering sustainable, cloud-based solutions. You take ownership for reliable operations, approach new challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and enjoy partnering with business SMEs in cross-functional teams. You care about security, quality, user experience, documentation, testing, and the bigger picture. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: • Degree in Computer Science (Master's preferred) or a comparable engineering discipline • 5+ years' experience building and operating full-stack applications • Hands-on experience with public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP), preferably Azure • Proficiency in core engineering skills including: -Backend: Java (alternatively Python), Spring Boot, REST APIs -Frontend: Angular (alternatively React), TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3 -Databases: Azure SQL / SQL Server, or equivalent • Hands-on experience with Cloud delivery practices and tooling, including IaC, CI/CD, and Containerization • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams • Proficiency in English (written & verbal) These are additional nice to haves: • Experience with Node.js/Kotlin for backend development • Knowledge of React as an alternative frontend framework • Experience with Kubernetes • Expertise in automated testing tools like Cypress/k6 • Comfortable working in agile delivery environments (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira) For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,800] and [EUR 4,600] per month (for a full-time role).
