About the Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead our academic study skills team in delivering high-quality, inclusive academic study skills provision for students at Hartpury University. The post holder will provide operational leadership for academic study skills support, working closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders to ensure the provision is responsive, impactful and embedded across the curriculum. Alongside this, the successful applicant will:

Manage the delivery of, and deliver, high-quality academic study skills support for students across the university at levels 3 – 8. Work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality and inclusive study skills learning for all, through a wide variety of learning opportunities and resources. Drive innovation and best practice in academic study skills support within the University, working collaboratively with your line manager and team to monitor and evaluate provision.

About You

Have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline. You will have professional recognition of teaching at Advance HE Fellowship level (or above), or an equivalent higher education teaching qualification. You will have a certified management qualification and/or relevant experience of line managing a small team of academic staff. Knowledge of academic study skills development for students studying at levels 3 - 8, informed by an understanding of recognised sector practice. Experience of delivering evidence-informed teaching, learning and assessment within higher education.
