A Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for protecting an organisation’s systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The role focuses on preventing attacks, detecting vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. Responsibilities Monitor networks and systems for security threats and suspicious activity Identify vulnerabilities through security assessments and penetration testing Configure and manage firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems Respond to cybersecurity incidents and investigate breaches Implement security policies, controls, and compliance standards Perform risk assessments and recommend security improvements Secure cloud environments and user access controls Work with IT teams to strengthen overall system security
