About this role
Professional degree (4-years Bachelor’s Degree) in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Energy) from an HEC recognized local/foreign institution. Additional qualifications in Economics/Finance or Energy Management and knowledge of planning applications/software would be advantageous. Experience in power planning, modeling, acquisition, load forecasting, and demand/supply analysis. Expertise in coordinating with Power / Energy sector entities. Strong analytical and report writing skills are essential. The Joint Director (Planning & Procurement) will be responsible for consultation with SOLRs (Suppliers of Last Resort) to estimate capacity/energy obligations and preparation of power procurement programs/plans in accordance with the CTBCM (Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market) regime, liaise and coordinate with stakeholders and NEPRA for the approval of procurement programs/plans, and provide support in executing relevant IAA (Independent Auction Administrator) functions within the context of CTBCM.
