Are you an experienced Drainage Engineer looking to join a growing team where no two days are the same?
At Liberty, we're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Drainage Engineer to support our social housing contracts in our Responsive Repairs team, carrying out drainage maintenance, CCTV inspections, fault finding and repairs across domestic properties. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team with genuine progression opportunities into Site Supervisor roles.
What you'll be doing
Attend domestic and light commercial drainage jobs, including blockages, slow-draining fixtures and external drainage issuesCarry out CCTV drainage surveys and inspectionsDiagnose and clear blockages using high-pressure jetting equipmentIdentify drainage defects and recommending further remedial worksComplete drainage repairs, patches and maintenance worksUse appropriate equipment to diagnose and clear drainage problems safelyCarry out practical drainage repair and maintenance workExplain findings clearly to customers and recommend sensible next stepsTake photos, write clear job notes and keep the office updated on follow-on workManage urgent reactive jobs while keeping workmanship tidy and professional What success looks like

What we're looking for
Minimum 4 years' drainage engineering experienceExperience using high-pressure water jetting equipmentFull UK driving licenceOwn plumbing/drainage hand toolsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsPractical experience as a drainage engineer or multi-skilled engineer handling drainage workConfidence clearing common blockages and identifying recurring drainage problemsExperience using drainage equipment such as rods, jetting equipment or CCTV inspection toolsA tidy, reliable and customer-conscious way of workingAbility to manage reactive appointments without close supervision Desirable:
Social housing experienceWJA (Water Jetting Association) CardHigh-pressure water jetting experienceCCTV drainage survey or inspection experiencePipeline repair experience including CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) lining and no-dig rehabilitation techniquesExperience with domestic and light commercial drainage work Why join Liberty?
