DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Normal, IL.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic software Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient knowledge of diesel engines (Cummins is a bonus)
2 years experience in related field/trade school certificate or equivalent
A current valid license is required for this roleMust be 18 years old with 2 years driving experienceThis role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations Job Service
