About this role

Job summary

Part-time and Full-time hours available

You will have good communication, organisation, team -working and administration skills and experience of working with the public, reception duties and knowledge of data entry (training will be provided for our in-house IT systems). You will have a keen eye for accuracy.

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive, courteous and efficient reception service to patients and perform to a high standard clerical and administrative duties associated with the co-ordination of outpatient clinics for members of the Clinical Team.

The successful candidate will fulfil the Clinic Co-Ordinator role for Ophthalmology covering the Main Ophthalmology clinic reception and Eye Casualty clinic reception as designated and to be responsible for all aspects of the preparation and delivery of these clinics.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Experience of working within a patient focussed environment Knowledge of Health Records Standards and Operating Procedures Experience of working within a team Experience of working within Health Records Good organisational skills Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team in a busy and challenging environment Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications, notably Excel

Desirable

Work Flow Management i.e. PMS / WCP Experience of working with referrals or priority referrals

Qualifications Essential

Good standard of education NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience acquired through a Patient Administration or Health Records role
