Low Voltage System Assembly (LVSA) - Process Engineer (m/f/d)
This position is based at our manufacturing plant in Schrems, Austria
EATON is hiring a LVSA Process Engineer to design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for LVSA products, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality, and scalable production from material preparation through assembly, testing, and delivery.
What you'll do:
Manufacturing Process Design & Industrialization:
Define and optimize end-to-end manufacturing flow for LVSA: material preparation, mechanical assembly, copper / busbar processing, device mounting, wiring, testing and FATDevelop scalable production concepts moving from panelbuilder style to industrial flowSupport introduction of new products / new project types Routing, Standard Work & Process Documentation:
Create and maintain routings, standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions and process parametersDefine assembly sequences and standard timesEnsure documentation is clear and usable on shopfloor Workplace & Line Design:
Design efficient workstations for manufacturing process stepsImprove ergonomics, safety, and productivitySupport line balancing and takt-based flow where applicable Continuous Improvement / Productivity:
Identify and eliminate waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added workImprove labor productivity, lead time, throughput and first-pass yieldLead Kaizen / CI activities Engineering to Production Interface:
Work closely with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Work PreparationEnsure designs are manufacturable (DFM/DFA)Provide feedback on recurring production issues Change Management & New Product Introduction:
Support implementation of engineering changes (ECR/ECO) in productionValidate process impact of changesEnsure controlled process updates during ramp-up or serial production Quality & Compliance:
Support process quality controls critical characteristics (CC), special characteristics (SC), torque controls and traceability requirementsParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective actions Capacity & Performance Support:
Define labor standards and process capacitiesSupport production planning with realistic cycle times and constraintsMonitor process KPIs and recommend improvements Qualifications and skills:
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field3+ years in manufacturing engineering / process engineeringExperience in electromechanical assembly, switchgear, panel building, or complex industrial products preferredExperience with lean manufacturing / continuous improvement preferredStrong understanding of manufacturing processesAbility to read technical drawings and BOMsKnowledge of assembly methods, copper processing, wiring processesExperience with ERP / routing / production systemsUnderstanding of DFM / DFA principlesStructured and analytical thinkingHands-on problem solvingStrong communication with engineering and shopfloor teamsOwnership and drive for resultsContinuous improvement mindset What we offer:
