We are seeking a Staff Experience, Health and Wellbeing Manager to lead our Trust-wide approach to staff experience, engagement and wellbeing. This is a key leadership role within our People Services team, responsible for shaping and delivering programmes that bring the NHS People Promise to life ensuring our people feel supported, valued and able to thrive at work.

Job description Job responsibilities

The Staff Experience, Health and Wellbeing Manager will be responsible for promoting a culture that aligns to the NHS People Promise within the organisation through the planning, development, coordination and delivery of a range of staff experience and health and wellbeing interventions aligned to the Trust's strategic aims and complying with contractual and legislative requirements as necessary.

Working as part of the People Services Department, and in collaboration with key leaders across the organisation, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of our People Strategy. Managing the provision of the staff experience, health and wellbeing offer and support colleagues to be the best they can to deliver a quality service for the people we support.

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the Staff Experience, Health and Wellbeing team and work in collaboration with the wider leadership team.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of a comprehensive and high quality staff experience, health and wellbeing programme and future priorities through the planning and implementation of initiatives.

The post holder will provide support and expert advice to the People Business Partners in the areas of engagement, staff experience and staff health and wellbeing.

Key areas of responsibility will include:-

1. Develop and implement the Trust wide staff experience and staff health and wellbeing plan on an annual basis, including the delivery and review of the annual NHS Staff Survey.

2. Monitor and proactively manage the allocated budgets, working within agreed budgets and ensuring value for money is achieved and waste is reduced.

3. Manage the complete staff experience cycle implementation of the NHS Staff Survey, analysis and communications, implementation of interventions to enhance staff experience and staff health and wellbeing and evaluation mechanism.

4. Maintain the Staff Experience and Staff Health and Wellbeing programme including contract and project management.

5. Line Management of staff within the Staff Experience, Health and Wellbeing Team.

6. Lead the staff experience and staff health and wellbeing element of the Trust Induction process for all newly appointed staff.

7. To act as a first point of contact and gather of evidence of delivery of wellbeing programmes for regulatory inspections and audits e.g. CQC or production of Board reports.

8.. To lead the development, maintenance and review of all staff experience and health and wellbeing policies and procedures.

9. To undertake ad hoc work to ensure the Trust continuously improve our processes and maximise on opportunities related to enhanced staff experience and staff health and wellbeing.

10. Represent the Trust on external and system professional groups and committees

11. Ensure quality, health and safety and inclusion practices are upheld in all programme activities.

12. Manage the Occupational Health Service Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring value for money whilst maintaining the highest possible quality of service.

14. Oversee the Trusts Reasonable Adjustments programme

Person Specification

Experience Essential

NHS People Plan NHS Staff Survey Extensive knowledge of staff experience and health and wellbeing, preferably in a complex organisation. Knowledge of partnership working with Trade Unions and Staff bodies Experience in an NHS setting or equivalent Experience in developing programmes in staff experience and health and wellbeing in either the NHS or equivalent setting Experience of managing staff Ability to develop written reports Ability to work with a range of multi-disciplinary staff at all levels Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence Ability to work collaboratively Ability to manage conflict Ability to build and sustain relationships in difficult situations Presentation skills including delivery of training to groups of staff IT competent Ability to interpret information and translate into agreed action Ability to think imaginatively in strategic terms An ability to devise, commission, deliver and evaluate staff experience and health and wellbeing programmes Ability to manage, prioritise and deliver a diverse and complex workload Managing discrete elements of work independently

Qualifications Essential

Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge or expertise gained Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field to masters level or equivalent Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
