Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated 0.6wte, 12m fixed term, Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist.
This post will be based in Brixham Hospital and Castle Circus Health Centre and will be part of the highly supportive S< Team, delivering a community speech and language therapy service to children and young people within clinic and education settings.

Main duties of the job
The Speech, Language and Communication pathway consists of Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Assistants working across Devon and Torbay.
The aim of the team is to ensure that specialist support is easily accessible within the community settings, providing both direct support to children, young people and families, and to the wider community teams.
Everyone in the team is provided with regular supervision, opportunities for training and development.

Experience Essential
Relevant experience of working with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs in community / education settings Knowledge of a broad range of assessment tools relevant to working with children Well established knowledge of a broad range of appropriate therapeutic interventions to treat children Understanding of the principles of clinical governance /audit Understanding of the roles of other professionals (relevant to the client group) Knowledge of standards of record keeping

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent Health Professions Council Licence to Practice Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups
