Job summary
We are looking to appoint a Pharmacy Technician who is interested in working within Aseptic Services but would still like to maintain their clinical skills.
You will work as part of a team and rotate supporting all areas under the remit of Aseptic and Cancer services; this includes Aseptic Services, Radiopharmacy, Pharmacy Outsourced Service and the Clinical Ward Service.
The successful applicant will have post registration experience as a Pharmacy Technician along with excellent organisational skills.

The Clinical Ward service provides an expert support service to the clinical teams, working on the wards and supporting inpatients who have been admitted with Cancer. You will work closely with the Clinical Cancer Pharmacy team providing a medicines management service.
Main duties of the job
This role supports pharmacists and senior technicians to make sure patients receive the right medicines safely and on time. You will dispense, prepare and check medicines, including specialist treatments such as chemotherapy and sterile products. You will speak with patients and carers, explain how to use medicines safely, and help manage medicines when patients are admitted or discharged. You will work independently each day, follow strict safety and quality rules, and help keep the pharmacy running smoothly. You will support and train other staff, work as part of a team, and help improve pharmacy and cancer services. You will be flexible and take part in weekend, evening and bank holiday rotas to support safe patient care.

oNVQ Level 3/ BTEC in pharmacy Services or equivalent nationally recognised qualification oCurrent registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council oAccredited Checking Technician Qualification oGraduate level portfolio
