Person Specification
Education and Qualifications Essential
Registered Nurse Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) Evidence of ongoing CPD RCGP cert 1/2 or willingness to undertake
Desirable
Degree relevant to post RCGP Cert 1/2 Substance Misuse or relevant qualification Primary Care/LTC qualification Mentorship qualification Further prescribing speciality qualifications (e.g. VT900 anticoagulation management, RCGP pt2 Substance misuse)
Knowledge and Experience Essential
Post registration experience Understanding of integrated governance agenda Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner Change management experience Experience of managing/leading a team Experience of multi-disciplinary/multi agency working Extensive knowledge of substance misuse issues Demonstrates specialist expertise underpinned by theory acquired through CPD
Desirable
Experience of working within primary care/substance misuse/acute care Understanding of local and national key documents and their impact on health care delivery in a prison setting Experience of working with individuals with a history of substance misuse Experience of service development Management Experience of recruitment, selection and retention of staff
