Job Summary:
Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer's site.
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Wichita, KS).

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic softwareThis position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.A current valid license is required for this roleThis role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violationsThis role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical3 years driving experienceThis role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device useFederal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of ageA CDL may be required to obtain upon hireFederal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
