About this role
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality care services in our Charlotte, NC, Occupational Health Clinic. This role independently manages patient care, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, while working closely with a collaborative clinic team for support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care: Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose, and treat a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. Provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform procedures and other clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice and protocols.
• Collaborative Practice: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Chronic Disease Management: Manage and monitor chronic illnesses, providing ongoing care and education to optimize health outcomes.
• Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Implement and participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and health education activities.
• Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential health records. Document all patient encounters and treatments following policies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility healthcare standards and regulations.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on managing their health conditions, medications, and preventive care strategies.
Qualifications:
• Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) license or ability to obtain within start date.
• National board certification as a Physician Assistant (e.g., NCCPA).
• 1 year or more of experience
• BLS and ACLS certification.
