About this role
Core Responsibilities:
• Patrols buildings and grounds of facility on foot and/or in a security vehicle; examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure; controls the various entry/exit locations throughout controlled areas.
• Staff's areas to assure compliance with state laws and facility regulations.
• Directs visitors and vendors to appropriate locations.
• Warns violators of rule infractions and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Observes and reports procedural violations and illegal activity.
• Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards and security doors left unlocked.
• Notify supervision of alarms and or unauthorized persons.
• Responds to any incidents as needed, assists investigations.
• Reports property damage, unusual occurrences, and guest or employee injury to supervision.
• Maintains crowd control of guests during busy periods.
• Administers appropriate first aid assistance as required in accordance with established Medical Emergency Procedures.
• Assists in the protection of Company assets, guests, and associates.
• Recovers lost and found items.
• Communicates via two-way radio with management and other personnel
• Drives company vehicles, both standard and automatic transmission.
• Regulates vehicle traffic at grounds entrance to maintain orderly flow including safety signs and cones.
• Role model company guest service program.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a NY State Security Guard License.
• Must be able to obtain a NYS Video Gaming License.
• Ability to learn quickly and work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English well enough to carry out written and oral instructions regarding the proper. Performance of duties and write routine reports and correspondence.

• Frequently required to stand and walk for entire length of shift.
• Visual acuity sufficient to identify potential security violations.
• Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice and audible alarms.
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Weekends, night, and holidays may be required.
