About this role
The Program Child Wellness Nurse promotes the health, safety, and well-being of children in Head Start in compliance with HSPPS, CACFP, Arizona Child Care Licensing, Caring for Our Children, and ADHS guidelines. This role oversees health services, ensuring accurate tracking of health records, immunizations, screenings, and follow-up care. The nurse collaborates with families, providers, and staff to support comprehensive care, including chronic condition management and communicable disease prevention. Responsibilities include health education, safety monitoring, and regulatory compliance. The nurse also builds community partnerships to improve access to medical, dental, and behavioral health services while serving as a key resource to support family wellness and school readiness.
