Job Title: Workshop Assistant

Reports to: Foreman
Summary of Responsibilities: The Workshop Assistant supports the daily operations of the mechanical workshop by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with equipment care, and carrying out general duties as assigned. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.
Job Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and maintaining the mechanical workshop, ensuring all areas are kept tidy and hazard-free.
• Washing and cleaning all equipment, tools, and machinery as required.
• Support workshop staff with basic tasks to facilitate smooth daily operations.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while performing duties.
• Carry out any other related duties as assigned from time to time by supervisors or management.
Job Qualifications/ Requirements:
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent experience is preferred
• Previous experience in a workshop, maintenance, or cleaning role is an asset but not required.
• Strong work ethics with attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Skills/Competencies:
• Be able to perform lifting, stand for extended periods, and exposure to workshop equipment and cleaning materials.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices will be an asset.
• Willingness to perform manual tasks.
