About this role
As a 3D Environment Artist in Gameloft Sofia, you will be responsible for creating immersive and visually captivating game worlds that enhance the player’s experience. Working closely with the Art Director and Game Producer, you will bring environments to life — from initial blockouts to final polished scenes. You will combine creativity and technical expertise to deliver high-quality assets while respecting artistic direction, gameplay needs, and performance constraints. You will leverage your strong understanding of form, composition, lighting, materials, and color to craft believable and engaging spaces that support the game’s visual identity.
Responsibilities:
Model in-game environments based on concepts, 3D mock-ups, and art direction specificationsModel and texture key level landmarks and props in both low and high-polyCoordinate closely with the design teams in the level implementation processHelp define material and light properties for environment shadersContribute to the optimization of both data and workflowWork in an agile environment Proficient in high poly modeling tools such as ZbrushProficient in 3ds Max and PhotoshopSkilled in the creation of PBR assets and the PBR Lighting workflow in generalSkilled in video game environment model and texture productionFlexible in adapting to different art stylesExperience in video game production will be considered a plusKnowledge of video game art standards in general Why Join Gameloft Universe?
