About this role
Role purpose: The Service Writer identifies services needed by listening to the driver’s description of the symptoms. After the clarification and examination process the service writer will communicate accordingly. Repair orders (RO) will be prepared and delegated to the technicians by the service advisor. Other duties will include keeping drivers informed by explaining the expected return of the vehicles. Perform hood checks, inspect service stickers for due dates, make sure each hard-down vehicle has the rear window marked with repair or part needed and administer the meter seal appointments.
