About this role
We are seeking a highly proactive, self‑driven Business Development Manager who will play a key role in driving the continued growth of our business in Switzerland. In this role, you will identify new market opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and position Eurofins as a preferred partner for GMP‑compliant analytical testing services in the fields of Microbiology, Chemical‑Physical Analytics and Environmental & Utility Testing.
Responsibilities
Identify, target, and acquire new customers within the Swiss (Bio)Pharma sector through proactive outreach and event‑driven lead generationDrive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and closing deals aligned with strategic objectivesImplement targeted sales strategies to accelerate market penetration and strengthen regional presencePlan and execute sales activities to achieve ambitious revenue goalsManage existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross‑sellingRepresent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry eventsMaintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in key IT systems, including CRM tools and customer databases
A scientific degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in customer interaction, ideally with initial exposure to Business DevelopmentA minimum of 5 years of experience in MicrobiologySolid knowledge of GMP regulations, essential for performing the role effectivelyExcellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and teamwork skillsProficiency in common IT applications, including MS Office and CRM systemsExcellent spoken and written English skillsWillingness to travel up to 20% If we have aroused your interest, we would be delighted if you could send us a personal cover letter, your CV and references.
