Job Summary The RN Manager serves as a pivotal leader responsible for the operational excellence and clinical quality of assigned nursing unit(s) on a 24-hour basis.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee staff scheduling, time-off approvals, and resource allocation to support department needs. • Conduct performance evaluations and offer regular feedback and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth. • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build a highly effective workforce. • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team engagement and retention, creating a positive and supportive work environment. • Serve as a clinical and operational resource to staff, addressing concerns and assisting as needed to resolve issues. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and best practices within the unit.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) • Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN License in good standing • 3 yrs or more of recent Nursing Leadership in an acute care hospital setting
