SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">The Director of IT Infrastructure, Observability, and Platform Engineering is a strategic leadership role focused on transforming traditional IT infrastructure into modern, scalable internal products.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">This leader drives the strategy, design, and execution of end-to-end observability, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and Operational Technology (OT) systems across the global enterprise.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">The role champions an automation-first culture and establishes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices to improve developer velocity, strengthen IT/OT convergence, and enhance system reliability through proactive monitoring and automated incident mitigation.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">This position partners across infrastructure, engineering, security, compliance, and business teams to deliver resilient, secure, and cost-effective platforms that support enterprise operations and innovation.</li> </ul> ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Define and execute the multi-year technical roadmap for hybrid cloud infrastructure and observability platforms to improve user experience and modernize legacy systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Establish and refine SLOs, SLIs, and KPIs for service reliability, performance, and capacity planning.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Experience with data extraction pipelines, and monitoring strategies that connect corporate IT infrastructure with physical plant and factory operational technology environments.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Architect and manage a consolidated enterprise telemetry platform spanning applications, cloud infrastructure, and edge OT systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Define and govern global standards for logging, metrics, and distributed tracing across platforms and environments.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Establish and govern GitOps workflows and declarative infrastructure practices across all environments using enterprise automation frameworks.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Drive modern Site Reliability Engineering practices, including implementation of AIOps and anomaly detection capabilities to reduce MTTD and MTTR.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Translate technical telemetry into actionable business insights and align observability outcomes to business KPIs.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Drive cost optimization strategies while balancing performance, high availability, and operational efficiency across applications and platforms.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Collaborate with security and compliance teams to manage risk and ensure regulatory adherence across all supported environments.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Align with engineering and product partners to improve platform security, streamline onboarding workflows, and increase application availability.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Lead teams and influence stakeholders in the adoption of platform engineering and observability best practices across the enterprise.</li> </ul> REQUIREMENTS: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">15+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or related disciplines.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">2+ years of experience in a Director-level or equivalent strategic leadership role.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Proven track record of managing infrastructure or platform teams using product management frameworks such as roadmapping, SLOs/SLIs, and developer experience metrics.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">10+ years of experience in large-scale systems design and architecture, with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Strong experience managing large-scale cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) in combination with traditional on-premise data center environments.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Deep understanding of observability platforms and the use of telemetry data to generate business and operational insights.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Strong technical expertise architecting unified monitoring solutions across application and infrastructure layers using tools such as AppDynamics, Catchpoint, Dynatrace, Splunk Observability, or similar platforms.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">5+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, as well as GitOps deployment methodologies.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving infrastructure, software engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Strong The range for this position is $194,764.00 - $267,801.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
