This position analyzes the process and suggests ways to improve operations. What you’ll be contributing: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Analyzes the cement production process – raw materials to finish milling – and implements changes for optimal operating conditions in terms of fuel efficiency, electrical efficiency and production rate.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Demonstrates pyro-processing expertise in performing regular responsibilities.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Participates in the training of the control room operators on the proper ways of using plant equipment.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Works closely with shift process teams to ensure mills and pyro lines are consistently operated at peak efficiency.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Performs programming of the plant’s programmable control systems and provides maintenance, documentation, and improvements for computerized process systems.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Performs performance testing and measurements on production equipment.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Maintains equipment performance records, including wear part life history. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Provides technical support to the Production Department in achieving its objectives of maximizing plant production of quality-controlled cement in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Optimizes process areas by testing, data gathering, sampling, and the application of in-house expertise to provide progressive solutions to enable continual improvement in all aspects of the production process.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. </li> </ul> To succeed in this position, you will need: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Minimum 4 year/Bachelors Degree in mechanical, chemical engineering, or related field</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Minimum of 6 years experience in a similar or related position.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to perform, organize and prioritize work independently</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Knowledge of pyro-processing, thermodynamics, heat transfer, airflow, and related principles.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Knowledge of PLC systems and instrumentation techniques and guidelines. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to work from general policies and objectives.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Ability to refer to supervisor when clarification or interpretation of the organizational policy is in question.</li> </ul> What’s next for you?
