Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures. Identify current and prospective staffing requirements. Prepare and post notices and advertisements. Collect and screen applicants. Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment. Review candidate inventories. Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews. Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates. Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers. Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures. Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Team player. Ability to multitask. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Supports for visible minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.). Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
