*Duties*
* Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. * Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and concerns. * Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. * Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and needs. * Collaborate with team members to develop individualized education plans and ensure consistency in care. * Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards. * Support children with daily routines such as feeding, toileting, and rest periods. * Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
*Experience*
* Prior experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. * Certification as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent credential is required. * Knowledge of child development principles, curriculum planning, and behavior management strategies. * Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members. * Ability to adapt to diverse needs of children and demonstrate patience and empathy. * Experience with documenting observations and maintaining detailed records is advantageous.
