Job Description Job DescriptionManufacturing Engineer Location: Brampton, ON L6T 5S8, Canada Will be needed for an 8-12 month contract assignment at a manufacturing site in Brampton, Ontario. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for managing 3-4 smaller automation projects from initial concept through final buy-off. Projects will support injection molding machine unload automation and pack-out automation, including the full project lifecycle from idea development, statement of work (SOW) creation, vendor quote review, award, equipment buy-off, installation, and final acceptance. Responsibilities

• Lead 3-4 smaller automation engineering projects from concept through completion. • Develop project ideas into clear statements of work (SOWs) for automation suppliers and vendors. • Support the quote process, including review of vendor proposals, technical details, timelines, and project scope. • Coordinate project award, purchase activities, equipment build reviews, and supplier communication. • Participate in automation equipment buy-off, installation, commissioning, and final buy-off. • Work on projects related to injection molding automation, machine unload systems, and automated pack-out processes. • Support project execution across key phases including idea, SOW, quote, award, buy-off, installation, and final acceptance. • Collaborate with internal teams, maintenance, production, quality, and external automation vendors to ensure successful implementation. • Identify process improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, safety, and throughput in a manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Automation Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar engineering role in a manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with automation projects, preferably involving injection molding, machine unloading, material handling, robotics, or pack-out systems. • Ability to manage projects from concept through installation and final acceptance. • Experience creating or supporting SOW development, vendor quoting, supplier selection, and equipment buy-off. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, automation integration, and continuous improvement. • Ability to work cross-functionally with vendors, production teams, maintenance, engineering, and quality. • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project coordination skills. • Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final buy-off in a plant environment. • Availability for an 8-12 month contract assignment in Brampton, ON L6T 5S8, Canada.
