POSITION: Journeyman CookSTATUS: CasualDEPARTMENT: Nutrition ServicesHOURS OF WORK: 16 hours a month plus pickup shiftsRESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Operations through the Support Services ManagerDATE REQUIRED: ImmediatelyPOSTING DATE: June 26, 2026POSITION SUMMARY:The Journeyman Cook is responsible for the quality production of all menu items. Preparation of catering and supplementary items and night lunches as required.QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:Formal Journeyman Cook's Certification.Cooking/baking experience required.A working knowledge of therapeutic diets would be an asset.Food Handlers Course (Advanced preferred).Able to follow written and verbal directions.Good mental and physical health.Good communication skills.Well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance.Reliable and punctual.Interest in personal learning and development.Able to relate to elderly persons.Able to fulfill requirements of the position as demonstrated by regular attendance.SALARY RANGE:$24.14 to $24.55/hourQuoting competition number JCOOK-CASUAL apply in writing to reception or [email protected].
