Policy and Goal Setting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Establish department policies, plans, and objectives aligned with the organization goals.</li> <li>Communicate organizational and department policies and plans to the team, set operational goals and monitor performance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>2. Budget Planning and Procurement:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and develop budgets for departmental expenses, seeking approval from executives and ensuring spending compliance.</li> <li>Develop a procurement plan and oversee the procurement process, including vendor evaluation and document preparation.</li> <li>Approve procurement documents and manage purchasing operations according to company policy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>3. Team Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Foster open communications and an inspiring team environment.</li> <li>Set clear vision & goals.</li> <li>Provide guidance and leadership.</li> <li>Monitor team performance.</li> <li>Motivate team members.</li> <li>Identify training needs and provide coaching to team member(s) when required.</li> <li>Provide feedback on employee performance to achieve specified goals.</li> <li>Supervise and mentor departmental employees, fostering continuous knowledge and skill development.</li> <li>Develop career progression plans for subordinates and support their professional growth through training and industry networking.</li> </ul> <p><strong>4. Key Specific Qualification and Responsibilities of the Position</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate appropriately with people outside Bridgestone group companies to negotiate through discussion and compromise under different interests and objectives.</li> <li>Create and execute mid-term (3 to 5 years) business strategies according to organization vision.</li> <li>Ability to create new concepts and methods across multiple job functions by analyzing complex issue.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Specific key responsibilities of TBSC Indirect Material Procurement, TIIP Lead and Regional South-East (SEA) Cluster Indirect Procurement include, but not limited to:</strong><br><strong>1. Sourcing Policy and Goal Setting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute sourcing strategies and identify cost savings opportunities in line with OB/MBP.</li> <li>Establish the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including industry/supplier analysis, RFX, bid evaluation, negotiations, supplier performance evaluation, SRM program, supply base design and consolidation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>2.Procurement operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the indirect procurement team to rationalize procurement operations, increase spend coverage of the procurement organization and increase year-on-year savings. Work with business and finance stakeholders to identify, drive and track cost savings, other value creations and improvements on control and compliance.</li> <li>Prepare and hold reviews and updates with internal users/customers/stakeholders for business case initiatives, opportunities and risks, project progress, results versus expectations and vendor performance.</li> <li>Provide necessary training and guidance to internal users and stakeholders on procurement policies and work processes.</li> <li>Establish procurement process standards and drive compliance across the organization.</li> </ul> <p><strong>3. Project initiation and management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Identify and initiate sourcing projects across indirect categories by leveraging spend analysis, market Intelligence, interacting with regional CO, and internal requirements through engagement with internal customers and stakeholders.</li> <li>Lead and delivery projects with the best outcome for the business by collaborating with external suppliers, internal users, stakeholders and on-site procurement teams.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Degree holder, with over 10 years in-depth strategic sourcing, procurement experience and practices (e.g. category management, spend analytics and benchmarking, should-cost models, FX, negotiation and contracting), preferably in an indirect procurement function for both corporate and supply chain related spends at a multinational corporation environment.</li> <li>Minimum of 7 years in a managerial capacity, showcasing leadership in strategic sourcing and project management.</li> <li>Able to communicate and engage internal users, stakeholders and external suppliers effectively; Able to identify, sell and present initiatives and new ideas through business case development and reviews.</li> <li>Results-oriented with a proven ability to deliver in challenging environments, coupled with strong relationship management skills for both internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.</li> <li>Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English and Thai.</li> <li>Self-motivated and proactive individual.</li> <li>Experience with continuous improvement methods like Lean Six Sigma.</li> <li>Proactive thinker.</li> </ul></div></div></div><p>Understanding that Serving Society with Superior Quality is our heritage and our mission, and embracing our responsibility to future generations as a global leader in our industries, Bridgestone and its teammates around the world employ innovation and technology to improve the way people move, live, work and play.</p>
