The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. This role is focused on building technical understanding of critical process functions and translating that knowledge into clear process requirements for internal teams and external suppliers.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working in development environments, and helping define how automated processes should work before full production systems are launched.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Key Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Develop technical understanding of assigned automated manufacturing process functions.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Define process requirements for material handling, sequencing, measurement, timing, tolerances, and interfaces.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Support concept development by identifying risks and resolving technical unknowns through analysis and testing.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Work with prototype and development equipment to troubleshoot, refine, and validate process performance.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Translate process learning into clear specifications and requirements for internal teams and suppliers.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document key technical findings, risks, and assumptions.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experiences/Education - Required</H2> </div><div><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Automation Engineering, Physics, or related technical field) with 2+ years of relevant experience, or MS in a related field.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience or coursework in automation, manufacturing, process development, equipment engineering, applied physics, or similar technical areas.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Proficiency with data analysis.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Ability or willingness to work hands-on with prototype and development equipment.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Strong written and verbal communication skills.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Travel up to 25% may be required.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• This role is focused on process development and definition rather than detailed machine design.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experiences/Education -
